Christmas on Crescent Row

Ok, I know it’s not Christmas yet so maybe I was a little cheeky with my latest purchase. But really…how could I resist this…

The new limited edition fragrance collection is beautiful! Benefit release one every year but this time round all my favourite scents plus the gorgeous new gal Noelle were featured and it was so hard to resist. So I didn’t. The packaging is beautiful, the scents are amazing and this year they come with their own mini boxes so transporting them around in your hand bag is easier than ever.

Lee-Lee… a light, citrus fresh fragrance is perfect for daytime when you want to refresh your skin but don’t want anything heavy or fruity. The added jasmine and lily add a delicate, floral touch. Delightful!

Bella… my favourite Crescent Row fragrance. Fruity, juicy and packing a punch in the scent department this fragrance manages to be sweet without being sickly. I love the jasmine and vanilla essence, I feel like this one is my personality in a bottle and is a staple handbag essential for me.

Gina… my original girl crush and the very first fragrance I bought from Benefit. The raspberry and pink peppercorn notes create a strong scent but it’s so rich, sexy and downright feminine that it smells and feels like a delicate, unique essence.

Noelle… the new girl in the row! She’s unlike any of the other scents in the collection. Woody, floral and with a hint of black pepper… I was captured by this enigmatic scent from the first sniff. Light enough to wear in the day but exotic enough for an evening spritz, I’m fast falling for this distinctive and delicious essence.

Jimmy Choo: Simply the Best

jimmy choo

My favourite ever perfume has to be the original Jimmy Choo. It has a delicate yet rich balance of raspberry, fruity tones with a deep woody base and spritzes on quite sweet but settles dark and spicy. It’s everything I’ve ever loved in a fragrance, perfect for both day and evening use.

However this summer I got itchy feet. Because I’ve been wearing it since its launch I convinced myself I needed to try something different and the hunt for a new favourite began, but I found that nothing I spritzed or tried had the same rich, raspberry undertone. Isn’t it strange how accustomed you get to scents, nothing else was as familiar to me as the Jimmy Choo. I guess this was what made me realise once you get your favourite scent it’s ok to stick with it!

Two great things happened from my little fragrance hiatus. The first thing was when I came to repurchase my coveted bottle it was on under sale (amazing) and the second was it also came with this gorgeous little vanity case which I absolutely love! I seem to have started a collection of things like this without noticing, so I think this will fit in quite well!

The Body Shop Eau De Toilette

I can bet that if you’ve ever walked into The Body Shop, you’ve closed your eyes, inhaled and thought ‘I want to live in this scent.’ Well, I don’t know if I’m jumping onto the bandwagon a little late with this one, but The Body Shop now do Eau De Toilettes in all their iconic scents.

If you’re like me and you’ve scooped your full hand into your Body Shop Body Butter and smothered way too much of it all over your skin just because you like the smell you will love these perfumes.

The Eau de Toilettes come in 30ml sizes in scents to match their existing body products. Amazing!

I had a hard choice when I came to select mine. It involved lots of perfume cards and lots of spraying and lots of the ‘card wafting in the air’ thing we all seem to do! I finally narrowed it down to the Satsuma/Clementine scent and Oh wow, it smells delicious.

It’s a really fresh smell with a tangy, sweet orange scent. There’s not really any over or undertones here, these scents are just fruity and delicious. They remind me of when you’ve had a really good bath and you come out smelling all clean and feeling revitalised.

Granted, it doesn’t last for ages on my skin, but at £8.50 I’ve been stashing this in my handbag and using it to refresh myself throughout out the day.

Delicious. Which flavours have you tried?
